Race night
70 race goers attended the virtual reality racetrack set up in the School
Hall. Most had sponsored a racehorse and there was frantic Tote betting on each
race. The horses in the last race were auctioned and each stable (table)
clubbed their funds to bid and subsequently own their own racehorse. The
race was then run to loud cheering rather reminiscent of a match on
the playing fields. Buffet food and a bar ensured there was plenty to keep the punters
occupied between races.
